A Psychological Wellbeing Practice

A Psychological Wellbeing Practice

When something doesn’t feel right and you want to explore it deeper in a safe and non-judgemental space

Do you struggle with

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, numb, burnt-out? Struggling with relationship issues or life changes? Do you keep going over things that happened in the past, worry about the future or have obsessive thoughts? Do you feel low in motivation or confidence? Do you want to end patterns you feel stuck in? Do you have thoughts about wanting to end your life? Do you not know who you are anymore? Does something feel wrong and you just can’t explain it?
Or do you simply want to reflect on yourself?

How I can help

I want you to know you are not alone. We can work through these in therapy.

I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which is a first line evidence-based treatment. I also use elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).

I pay close attention to the therapeutic relationship itself: to how past relationship patterns and dynamics show up in our work, and how they may have informed your core beliefs.

About my practice

Let's dive in

A core principal of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is that the source of our distress is not so much what happens (reality or external situations) but how we perceive it (based on our history, beliefs, etc) and act in response to it.

I offer a tailored approach — structured, skills-based therapy grounded in compassion, context, and respect for your individual experience.

Introduction

Meet the therapist

My curiosity about the mind and human behaviour led me to become both a therapist and a researcher. I have published in various peer-reviewed journals (available on google scholar or research gate) on topics investigating fear, pain, how we can acquire and extinguish them. I hold a doctorate in Psychology.

This scientific foundation ensures that the support I offer is grounded in science and curiosity as well as a deep respect for your own inner wisdom, strengths and potential. My priority is to create a space where you feel understood and safe to explore your fears.

My clinical experience spans a wide range of cultural and social contexts. I have worked at U-Center International, an inpatient mental health clinic in the south of the Netherlands (treated military personnel as well as others facing difficult life transitions), prisons (treated inmates as well as staff) in Punjab, India, and private practice (hybrid; global).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
